Kerala Knowledge Economy Missions Samagra project; Government outlets will be used to market products made by groups of differently abled people

NewsAccording to Minister for Social Justice R. Bindu, government outlets would be utilised to promote goods created by organisations of persons with disabilities as part of various businesses under the government's brand. She was addressing during the launch of the Samagra programme for job seekers with special needs funded by the Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission. Those with disabilities will receive residential training to help them enhance their skills. Through the Young Innovators Programme, financial assistance would be provided as well to help the differently abled develop their ideas, according to the Minister.
The Knowledge Economy Mission would identify all job aspirants with a qualification of Plus Two and above who were interested in knowledge employment before 2026 and provide them with skilling so that they could find employment as part of the Samagra project, in collaboration with the Social Justice department, she said.
Pappanamcode ward councillor Ashanath G.S., Kerala State Handicapped Persons Welfare Corporation chairperson Jayadaly M.V., and K-DISC member secretary P.V. Unnikrishnan were present, along with Knowledge Edge Economy Mission Director P.S. Sreekala.
