Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation electric bus EV Power Plus has won the Electric Bus of the Year award

The Electric Bus of the Year award went to the EV Power Plus electric bus from the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). In Bengaluru, World Manufacturing Congress hosted the 10th National Award for Leadership and Excellence in Electric Vehicles event, where KSRTC received the honour.

The KSRTC runs electric buses, on a number of routes, including those between Mysuru, Madikeri, Virajpet, Shivamogga, Davanagere, and Chikkamagaluru. In accordance with FAME-2, the KSRTC will engage a commercial operator to operate buses as part of a gross cost contract over a ten-year period. The commercial operator will get 55 per km in operational costs from KSRTC.

Additionally, KSRTC won two honours at the 15th Express Logistics and Supply Chain Leadership honours for Best in Class Employer and Best in Class Safety Initiative in addition to being recognised for its innovative HR practises at the 22nd Asia Pacific HRM Congress.
