The Kanpur Metro in Uttar Pradesh introduced a smart device for the benefit of its users. Tuesday saw the introduction of the Go Smart Card, which follows Metro's One Nation One Card philosophy. According to Durga Shankar, the One Nation, One Card-inspired metro smart IDs were first introduced at the Kanpur Metro, the first metro in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He added that such cards had previously been used in Mumbai and that Agra would soon have a metro system.
Officials from Metro claim that a National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) will cost Rs 100 and that payment is non-refundable. The card can be recharged for a minimum of 100 rupees and a maximum of 2,000 rupees. Recharging is possible through the metro's mobile app, internet banking, debit or credit cards, ticket vending devices, and station counters. Additionally, passengers will be able to replenish on the bank's and UPMRC's websites.
The Go Smart Metro Card can be used anywhere in the nation because it is an interoperable transportation card, provided that the facility accepting the card also takes NCMC cards.
