Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam - a scheme to provide ₹ 1,000 monthly financial assistance to women, was launched in Madurai on Friday

Moorthy and the Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services Palanivel Thiaga Rajan launched the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam, a programme to offer women with 1,000 in monthly financial support, on Friday in Madurai. Mr. Moorthy declared that the government adhered to the tenet of "Everything for Everyone" when he introduced the programme in Poigaikaraipatti. In the wake of the leaders Periyar, Anna, and Kalaignar, the government had launched a number of programmes for the benefit of the populace.
To ensure equal opportunities for women in school and jobs, programmes were also developed for their welfare. Self-help organisations received loan support. He stated that the government has just introduced Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam to help women who are the heads of households better their standard of living. He said that the administration had kept its commitment to the voters. He stated that the women might file an appeal in regards to the applications that were turned down.
Mr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan introduced the programme at Ellis Nagar in the presence of the Collector M.S. Sangeetha, MLA A. Venkatesan, District Panchayat Chairperson K. Suriyakala, Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies for the Madurai Region S. Gurumoorthy, and others. Speaking at the ceremony, he emphasised the many government initiatives put in place for the welfare of the populace, particularly for students. According to him, Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam was established for the welfare of women in order to better people's lives and enable them to live dignified lives.
The city's mayor, Indrani Ponvasath, the Madurai MP, Su. Venkatesan, the MLA, G. Thalapathi, the district revenue officer, R. Sakthivel, the deputy mayor, T. Nagarajan, and others, were present.
The beneficiaries received ATM cards so they could withdraw their monthly aid payments.
