Indore and Surat won the Swachh Survekshan Awards 2023 for being the cleanest cities in the country

The Central Government's annual cleanliness survey findings were released on January 11; Indore and Surat were declared the "cleanest cities" in the nation, while Navi Mumbai held the third rank.

Maharashtra took first place in the "best performing States" category of the "Swachh Survekshan Awards 2023," followed by Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

At a ceremony in Delhi, recipients received prizes from President Droupadi Murmu. Attendees included Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
