Indian Swachhta League 2.0 in Vijayawada; children spread knowledge about secure garbage disposal

NewsAccording to Swatchh Andhra Corporation Managing Director Gandham Chandrudu, sanitation workers dedicate their days to keeping our cities clean, hence it is our duty to improve their working conditions. Mr. Chandrudu also said, "The Corporation would provide all the necessary support to VMC for the introduction of modern machines to make workers' jobs easier." He was speaking at the Indian Swachhta League 2.0 in Vijayawada. He said that "they [the employees] are the true ambassadors of the campaign."
The 4,000 or so employees who participated in the 4-month-long cleaning effort of the city's three canals were thanked by Mayor Rayana Bhagyalakshmi. During that time, 5,000 tonnes of rubbish were removed. She asked the children to spread knowledge about secure garbage disposal.
The activity, which involved about 3,000 kids, started early in the day with a history walk from Gandhi Hill's entrance to the national flag at the summit of the hill while cleaning the surrounds. The walk was also attended by college and high school students, city employees, and environmentalists.The poster for "Mission Clean Krishna" was then unveiled at Varadhi by Devineni Avinash, Central Constituency at Charge. The PVP Mall hosted an exhibition in the evening featuring cutting-edge goods created from recycled materials.
