Indian Railways announces special train services for passengers attending ICC World Cup 2023 final in Ahmedabad

NewsIn order to handle the influx of travellers travelling to Ahmedabad for the ICC World Cup 2023 final, Indian Railways has planned additional train services. On Sunday, November 19, at the Narendra Modi Stadium, India will play Australia in the championship game. There will be a special train service running from Mumbai and Delhi to Ahmedabad. Saturday night the trains will leave and arrive in Ahmedabad early on Sunday. There will be three trains running from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, with one departing from Delhi.
Since all reservations for ordinary trains have been full and airfares have surged, with prices ranging from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 40,000, Indian Railways has also made sure that seats on the special trains are available at cheaper rates than the inflated airfares. The cost of a sleeper class ticket is Rs 620, the cost of an economy 3AC berth is Rs 1,525, the cost of a regular 3AC seat is Rs 1,665, and the cost of first-class AC lodging is Rs 3,490.
Following the match, spectators may go back to Ahmedabad after seeing the thrilling cricket match. The return service is scheduled to depart at roughly 2:30 am.
