India successfully test-fired its surface-to-surface short-range ballistic missile 'Pralay' from the Abdul Kalam Island

According to a defence official, India successfully test-fired its surface-to-surface short-range ballistic missile (SRBM) "Pralay" on November 7 from Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is the organisation that created the missile. Launched at around 9:50 am, the missile accomplished every mission goal, the official reported. According to him, a series of tracking devices tracked its path along the shore.

"Pralay", as per the official, is a 350–500 km short-range, surface–to–surface missile with a 500–1,000 kg payload capacity. He stated that "Pralay" has been designed for deployment along the Line of Control (LoC) and Line of Actual Control (LAC).
