GVMC is taking up Swachh Diwali- Shubh Diwali campaign under its Eco-Vizag programme

Commissioner C.M. Saikanth Varma of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) stated that the GVMC is launching the "Swachh Diwali- Shubh Diwali" campaign as part of its "Eco-Vizag" programme in accordance with the guidelines of the Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) on "Swachh Diwali." According to him, the company has been widely promoting the "Swachh Diwali Signature Campaign" on social media in an effort to increase public awareness and encourage people to make the Swachh Diwali commitment. On Beach Road, a campaign was also launched to raise public awareness of Swachh Diwali. In order to guarantee zero-waste festivals and events in the city, he added that meetings were scheduled with NGOs, Resident Welfare Associations, sanitation secretaries, supervisors, inspectors, and volunteers.
