GVMC Commissioner C.M. Saikanth Varma has sought naval officers support to release seed balls to increase greenery in Visakhapatnam

C.M. Saikanth Varma, commissioner of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), has asked the naval personnel for help in releasing seed balls to boost greenery in Visakhapatnam. On Friday, he had a meeting with Captain Rajkumar and Commando Deepak Singh at INS Dega.

Mr. Saikanth Varma said during the meeting that the company will drop seed balls from a helicopter on a number of hills in the city.

"On October 2, in honour of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday, the GVMC will scatter seed on seven hills with the aid of naval officers. This includes two locations on Bheemunipatnam Pavuralakonda, Kapuluppada Hill, Simhachalam Hill, Porlupalem Hill, Vedurla Narva Hill, and Yarada Hill, he added.
