Free surgery to differently-abled children by Vishwashanthi Foundation in association with Baby Memorial Hospital-Kannur

NewsThe actor Mohanlal-founded Vishwashanthi Foundation announced on December 15, that it will be partnering with Baby Memorial Hospital in Kannur to provide free surgery to infants with disabilities. Speaking at the start of the hospital's second phase of expansion construction, Mr. Mohanlal described "Step Forward" as a free paediatric orthopaedic surgery project that would cover the cost of surgery and therapy for 25 physically challenged children.
Children with conditions including cerebral palsy, congenital limb abnormalities, and spinal curvature are included in the initiative.
In less than a year of operation, the hospital also declared that it has attained the Nation Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) certificate, demonstrating its commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient safety and healthcare quality.Speaker A.N. Shamseer had earlier opened the hospital's paediatric orthopaedic section.
K. Madhavan, president and national manager of Disney Star, oversaw the event. On the occasion, people's representatives, hospital personnel, director George K. Ninan, chief executive officer Gracie Mathai, Mayor T.O. Mohanan, Kadanapally Ramachandran, MLA, CPI(M) district secretary M.V. Jayarajan, and hospital chairman and managing director Dr. K.G. Alexander were present.
