East Coast Railway announced extension of services of weekly special trains to cater to passenger rush during the festive season

In order to handle the influx of travellers throughout the holiday season, East Coast Railway (E Co R) has announced the expansion of services for the following weekly special trains.

Train number 08585 Visakhapatnam-Kurnool city special will depart Tuesday, January 16, 23, and 30 at 5.35 p.m. and arrive in Kurnool city at 1.25 p.m. the following day (three trips).

The 08586 Kurnool city – Visakhapatnam special train will travel in the opposite direction, departing Kurnool city on Wednesdays, January 17, 24, and 31 at 3.30 p.m. and arriving in Visakhapatnam the following day at 9.50 a.m. (three journeys).

Eluru, Vijayawada, Guntur, Sattenapalle, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda, Malkajgiri, Kacheguda, Umdanagar, Shadnagar, Jadcherla, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthi Road, and Gadwal are the stops where these trains would stop. 

Third AC-3, Sleeper Class-10, General Second Class-6, and Second Class-cum-luggage/Disabled coaches-2 will be available on these trains. 

According to A.K. Tripathi, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division, train no. 02809 Bhubaneswar- Tirupati weekly special train will depart Bhubaneswar on Saturdays at 1.30 p.m. on January 13, 20, and 27 to reach Duvvada at 7.35 p.m. and depart at 7.37 p.m. to reach Tirupati the following day at 10.30 a.m. (three trips).

On Sundays, January 14, 21, and 28, at 8.15 p.m., the 02810 Tirupati-Bhubaneswar weekly special will depart Tirupati at 8:15 p.m., arrive in Duvvada at 9:30 a.m., depart at 9:32 a.m., and arrive in Bhubaneswar at 5:25 p.m. (three trips).

Between Bhubaneswar and Tirupati, these trains will stop at Khurda Road, Balugan, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Duvvada, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Nidadavolu, Tanuku, Bhimavaram Town, Akividu, Kaikaluru, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, and Renigunta.
