NewsImran Hussain, the minister of food and civil supplies in Delhi, has issued instructions to guarantee hygienic conditions and cleanliness in the walled city area of the capital in preparation for the impending Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
Hussain gave this directive to the officials from various government departments on Thursday while presiding over a significant meeting in this respect. He asked them to make sure the streets and roads near places of worship are clean, hygienic, and well-maintained.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi was told to send out enough workers to clean the streets and lanes in the early morning and late at night, especially in the areas around Chamelian Road, Ram Kumar Marg, Jhandelwalan Road, Qutub Road, Fatehpuri, Chandni Chowk, and Eidgah.
Hussain gave instructions to Delhi Jal Board employees to provide households with more water at higher pressure, maintain correct drainage, and maintain a steady supply of freshwater.
In order to prevent devotees from experiencing water-related problems throughout the summer, the minister pleaded with officials to make provisions for water tankers near sacred sites.
In addition to removing trash from dividers on important roadways, he also instructed PWD officials to thoroughly clean the pathways and main roads, particularly between Chandni Chowk and Fatehpuri and the Jama Masjid area.
