According to a top Union government official, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is expected to be finished by December 2024. Anurag Jain, the recently recruited secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Ministry, stated that the current 24-hour travel time between the two cities will be cut in half to 12 hours after the motorway is finished.
He stated that vehicles will be able to go at a speed of 120 kmph on the route. Jain examined the $26,000 billion in MP-based national highway projects before speaking with media. So date, these initiatives have built almost 7,700 km of roads across the state.
According to Jain, 245 kilometres of the 1,350-km long Delhi-Mumbai Motorway travel through Madhya Pradesh. Work has been finished in eight of the state's nine "columns," he continued. The official announced that Indore will host the country's first of four planned Multi-Modal Logistics Parks. He stated that after finishing the purchase of 300 acres of land for the facility by September, development will begin under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
