Chandigarh residents visiting Registration and Licensing Authority in Sector 17 can now submit their files and documents online

Residents visiting the Registration and Licensing Authority (RLA) in Sector 17, can now submit their files and documents online. According to the Chandigarh Administration, after getting the facility of online appointment, residents can now submit their files and documents for 14 services online while sitting at home. All types of forms are also available online so that people do not have to visit the office to collect them.

Officials stated that the process would not only bring in transparency but also facilitate people.

Initially, the services were being provided for renewal of registration certificate (RC), transfer of ownership of vehicles within the city, ownership transfer of a vehicle in case of death and registration of vehicles purchased in a public auction, changing the address in the RC, removal of hypothecation from RC, the addition of hypothecation in RC, issuing NOC for a vehicle, cancellation of RC, updating mobile number in RC, the backlog of old RCs and issuance of trade certificate etc.
