Bureau of Indian Standards will conduct research and prepare guideline for weight of school bags

The issue of youngsters carrying large school backpacks every day will be addressed by a standard being created, according to the Bureau of Indian Standards. In response to inquiries regarding children's bulky school bags, the Director General of BIS announced that the company would soon conduct study and develop a standard.

He added that HRD has offered guidelines on the subject, which is a good idea, and that BIS would soon do study on the weight of school bags.

A governmental organisation called the Bureau of Indian Standards is in charge of creating standards that guarantee the reliability and proper application of a wide range of Indian commodities, processes, and products.
