NewsIn an effort to create a more welcoming working environment, the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) plans to begin digitising all of its documents shortly. Land purchase records, Civic Amenity (CA) sites, site allocation, khatas, land records, and other papers will all be digitalized. People whose sites were taken for other developments under the BDA are currently having difficulty finding other locations. The files may be located in minutes if they are digitalized.
Furthermore, individuals typically visit the BDA to secure or transfer khata, which also requires processing time. Mr. Jayaram has instructed authorities to issue khata in three days and transmit khata in twenty-four hours, even though the digitization process has not yet begun.
Sale deeds are another problem that the BDA is facing. If a home has been built, the selling deed is typically awarded ten years after the plot is assigned. When home builders don't finish their projects by the deadline, they might have to pay a fine in order to obtain a new selling deed.
Digitization will support these situations. All in all, this will expedite the BDA system. The municipal organisation has already issued work orders to scan the records and post them online, even though the Karnataka High Court has ordered the to digitise its records.
