As an inspiration to good works in society, 25 persons were presented with the ‘Champions of Change Karnataka’ Award

Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, on Tuesday, gave the "Champions of Change Karnataka" Award to 25 individuals. The award was given out by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, and the recipients were former cricket player Venkatesh Prasad, MP Tejashwi Surya, Bharat Ratna C.N.R. Rao, Padma Vibhushan S.M. Krishna, Padma Vibhushan D. Virendra Heggade, and B. Saroj Devi.

The award was given out by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, and the recipients were former cricket player Venkatesh Prasad, MP Tejashwi Surya, Bharat Ratna C.N.R. Rao, Padma Vibhushan S.M. Krishna, Padma Vibhushan D. Virendra Heggade, and B. Saroj Devi.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Gehlot emphasised the need of putting the wellbeing of others ahead of one's interests. The former Chief Justice of India, K G Balakrishnan, who chaired the jury for the Champions of Change Award, stated that every effort should be taken to promote kindness in society. He characterised the award ceremony as a source of motivation for charitable deeds in the community. Also speaking was advocate Nandan Jha, the president of the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy and the creator of the Champions of Change Award.
