Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department invites entries for video competition wherein participants can submit three-minute videos by September 25

NewsIn anticipation of World Tourism Day, which will be observed on September 27, the Regional Director of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA) and the Executive Director of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) are hosting the "Andhra Pradesh Tourism Video Competition." The three-minute (maximum) video can feature any tourist attractions in any of the six districts of Srikakulam, Parvathipuram-Manyam, Vizianagaram, Alluri Sitharamaraju, Visakhapatnam, and Anakapalli, according to Srinivasa Pani, regional director of the tourism department.
He stated that the special qualities and attractions of the location should be highlighted in the film. Candidates may favour lesser-known and less-traveled-to tourism destinations, which will be given preference. Telugu or English would be used as the voice-over language for the videos, he added. Only residents of the following districts are eligible to enter the competition: Srikakulam, Parvathipuram-Manyam, Vizianagaram, Alluri Sitharama Raju, Visakhapatnam, and Anakapalli. The APTA will choose a renowned team of judges to evaluate the videos. A monetary award of 10,000 will be given to the first-place winner, followed by cash awards of 5,000 and 3,000 for the second and third-place finishers, respectively. On September 27, as part of the commemoration of World Tourism Day, the awards will be awarded.
