Declaring that it would launch its maiden overseas operations on March 28, 2024, Akasa Air will become the first Indian airline to reach this milestone in less than 19 months after its founding.
In order to improve aviation connectivity between Qatar and India, Akasa Air will run four nonstop flights between Mumbai and Doha each week. Tickets may be purchased by travellers via the official website, a mobile app, or any internet travel company. As to the company's announcement, the return flight costs begin at Rs 29,012.
According to a statement from the airline, the start of operations in Qatar represents the airline's next stage of expansion, which aims to increase operations internationally at reasonable rates.
The company said that Doha, the capital and commercial centre of Qatar, is renowned for its rich cultural legacy and is one of the major economic engines of the Middle East.
In keeping with Qatar Tourism Strategy 2030, which seeks to position the nation as the Middle East's fastest-growing travel destination by 2030, operations have begun in Qatar.
A definitive order for 226 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft with CFM fuel-efficient LEAP-1B engines has been placed by Akasa Air. It presently has 23 737 MAX aircraft in service, which offers exceptional efficiency in lowering fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
