14th All-India Police Commando Competition will be at the AP Police Greyhounds training facility from January 22

NewsAndhra Pradesh will hold the 14th All-India Police Commando Competition at the AP Police Greyhounds training centre starting on January 22. The tournament will climax on January 30 and involve 16 States in all, together with seven paramilitary groups and their special commando troops.
According to R.K. Meena, Additional Director General of Greyhounds, special commando troops would be dispatched by all sixteen states. Special Operations Group (SOG) commandos from Odisha and Chhattisgarh would be sent, along with Maharashtra's C-60 and paramilitary forces from BSF, CRPF, Assam Rifles, ITBP, RPF, SSB, and CISF. There will be 13 to 15 commandos on each team, and the competition will be different and exciting, putting their endurance, talents, and teamwork to the test.
The tournament will comprise endurance tests like the Battle Obstacle Assault Course (BOAC) and activities like navigation and skill testing like bomb detection and defusing, target reconnaissance, first aid, and fire, raids, and assaults. Personnel from Octopus and the Greyhounds will be on the AP team.
State Home Minister Taneti Vanitha is expected to kick off the tournament, and DGP K.V. Rajendranath Reddy is expected to attend the concluding ceremony.
