Kochi Metro Rail Limited to construct the 11.2-km viaduct for Kochi metros Kakkanad extension and 10 stations en route

The design-and-build contract tender for the 11.2-km viaduct and 10 stations along the route for Kochi Metro's Kakkanad extension has been released by Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL).

On October 27, the technical bid for the Pink Line, the metro's Phase-II expansion to Kakkanad, will be opened. The job will be given to the selected bidder by mid-November. According to KMRL Managing Director Loknath Behera, the civil construction work for the 1,957-crore expansion would be finished in 20 months, while the system and signalling work will be finished in another four months.
