Kargil Vijay Diwas; PM Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh pay tribute to fallen soldiers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to soldiers on July 26, who gave the ultimate sacrifice for India's triumph over Pakistan in the Kargil conflict in 1999, on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The Prime Minister stated in a Hindi tweet that Kargil Vijay Diwas "brings to the fore the bravery of India's unparalleled warriors who will always remain a source of inspiration to the people of the country." "Jai Hind," Modi said.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid respect to soldiers who died in the 1999 Kargil battle at the Kargil battle Memorial. Mr. Singh presented a wreath to the monument.
