Cricket World Cup 2023; Delhi Metro has made minor adjustments to the schedules of its last trains on all lines except Airport Express Line

The Delhi Metro has made minor changes to the schedules of its last trains on all lines, with the exception of the Airport Express Line, on account of Cricket World Cup 2023 matches taking place at Arun Jaitley Stadium (Feroz Shah Kotla Grounds) in New Delhi on October 7, 11, 15, 25, and November 6. The stadium is near the Delhi Gate Metro station on the Violet Line.

Recognising that there would be an increase in the number of fans who will use the metro rail system following the matches, the Delhi Metro has planned for around 24 more train journeys that will be added by extending the last train schedules by 30 minutes across all lines. This is intended to make it easier for cricket fans to travel around the city after the games.

The DMRC has also deployed additional employees and Customer Facilitation Agents (CFA) at Delhi Gate Metro station to meet the expected influx of commuters on match days.
