NewsAccording to Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will call a conference for a final evaluation in connection with Plus One higher secondary admission. On Wednesday, he spoke following the State-level inauguration of Pravesanotsavam of Plus One students at Karthika Thirunal Government and Vocational Higher Secondary School, Manacaud.
The Minister stated that information on students who did not obtain Plus One admission in Malappuram, Palakkad, Kozhikode, and Wayanad, as well as other districts, would be gathered at the taluk level and actions would be made to assure their further education. A total of 3,16,772 pupils have applied for Plus One admission. From July 8 to July 12, applications for empty seats for additional allotment might be made. The main round of admissions will be concluded after supplemental allotment processes are completed by July 16. Following that, information on students still awaiting admission in Malappuram, Palakkad, Kozhikode, and other districts would be gathered at the taluk level. According to the Minister, the government would do all it takes to guarantee that all students have access to higher education.
The Minister stated that this year's Plus One sessions might begin 50 days sooner than last year, when classes began on August 25. This was a great accomplishment. In the event of an accident, officials would face severe punishment.
Concerning the death of a kid in Kasaragod due to a tree falling on her, the Minister stated that action will be done after the district education officer presented a report. He reminded the Plus One kids that success was achieved by hard effort and passion.
Shanavas S., Director of General Education, presided over the event. Higher Secondary joint director Sureshkumar R. was present, as were vocational higher secondary deputy director R. Sindhu and ward councillor S. Vijayakumar.
