World Space Week celebrations were conducted jointly by ISRO and IFET College of Engineering in Villupuram

P.A. Saravana Perumal, project lead of the Vehicle Assembly & Launching Facility at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota Range (SDSC-SHAR), and Syed Hameed, Associate Director, were special invitees to the World Space Week celebrations in Villupuram, which were co-hosted by ISRO and IFET College of Engineering. The special guest was Narayanan Sundaresan, Vice President - Digital Engineering Service line, Virtusa Consulting Services, Chennai.

In addition to the ISRO scientists, IFET chairman K.V. Raja and DIG of Police Zia-ul-Haque spoke at the event. S. Matilda, Vice-Principal; G. Balasubramanian, Deputy Project Director, ISRO; and other space agency officials, IFET trustees, department heads, and faculty members were among those who attended. Approximately 10,000 students from the IFET College of Engineering, as well as other institutions and schools, participated in numerous Space Week events. The ISRO organised an exhibition and film displays on space exploration, which drew a large number of people, including students and the general public. Faculty leaders P. Kanimozhi and T. Soupramanian oversaw the festivities.
