Renovated Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Park in Krishnalanka, Vijayawada opened to public on September 27

According to Municipal Administration Minister Audimulapu Suresh, the Jagan Mohan Reddy administration is dedicated to enhancing vegetation and making all urban local bodies in the State pollution-free. The Minister stated, "The renovation of the park is part of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's vision to beautify cities," after opening the restored Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Park in Krishnalanka on September 27 (Wednesday). He praised the efforts of the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) Commissioner Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar and the constituency in-charge for Vijayawada (East), Devineni Avinash.

The park had been abandoned for more than 10 years and was situated on the other side of the Eluru Canal from Raghavaiah Park. A section of the park was destroyed in 2016 as work was being done to expand National Highway-16, according to VMC Executive Engineer A.S.N. Prasad. 

The park's primary draws are a 500-meter cycling track, a kiddie splash pad, a rope bridge that spans a canal to connect the two parks, and a closed conference room. The park is 15,000 square metres in size. There will be a small entrance fee to enter the park.Attendees included Mayor Rayana Bhagyalakshmi, Additional Commissioner (Projects) Satyavathi, and others.
