PM Narendra Modi will interact with and address India's Asian Games contingent on Tuesday

NewsPrime Minister Narendra Modi will meet and address India's Asian Games delegation on Tuesday at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in New Delhi, according to his office. Over the last two weeks, Indian competitors won 107 medals at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, exceeding their previous total of 70 at the 2018 Jakarta edition. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) confirmed in a statement that Prime Minister Modi would meet with and address the contingent of Indian athletes who competed in the Asian Games 2022 at about 4:30 p.m. on October 10, 2023 at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in New Delhi.
According to the programme, the prime minister is attempting to congratulate the athletes for their exceptional performance in the Asian Games and to motivate them for future tournaments. India won 107 medals in total, including 28 gold, 38 silver, and 41 bronze. The athletes and coaches from India's Asian Games delegation, as well as officials from the Indian Olympic Association, representatives from National Sports Federations, and officials from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, will attend the function on Tuesday.
