A one-stop internet destination called "Theyyam Trails" has been established for individuals interested in viewing Theyyam away from the bustle of cities. From leisure travellers to cultural vultures, the platform for cultural tourism provides carefully selected Theyyam trips.
In north Kerala, the age-old folk ritual is carried out in temples, holy woods, and family-run temples against various mythical backdrops, complete with elaborate ceremonies rituals, and costumes that vary.
The green room of Theyyam artists is only accessible by restricted access, even though one of the main draws of the art form is the artists' decks. The preservation of regional customs and ceremonies will be guaranteed.
According to the organisers, there will be about 120 Theyyams (a divine dance performed by Theyyams) available to art enthusiasts throughout the year, among the about 400 Theyyattams (divine dance performed by Theyyams) that are being performed in various regions of north Kerala.
Inspired by their prior years' experience, they developed the internet platform. Approximately 500 trips, primarily for solitary and small groups, were organised by them in the previous year. The theyyam season in north Kerala begins on the tenth day of the Malayalam month of Thulam, also known as paththaam-udayam, which often occurs at the end of October. It continues until the middle of the month of Edavam, or by the end of May.
