The Finance Minister has put an emphasis on the setting up of National Digital Libraries, for the education sector, that will facilitate access to quality books for children and adolescents across geographies, languages, genres, and levels.
Nirmala Sitharaman has also advised states to set up physical libraries for them at the Panchayat and Ward levels, which helps them to provide an infrastructure for accessing the National Digital Library. This year's budget for 2023 is primarily focussing on the areas of creating job opportunities for the youth.
The Finance Minister announced in the Budget 2023 plans to boost Artificial Intelligence in India as well as to establish three Centres of Excellence in some of the country's top educational institutes.
