Logistics firm Delhivery to set up a new subsidiary to enter drone manufacturing and drone delivery services space

NewsDelhivery logistics company is to launch a new subsidiary to get into the production and delivery of drones. Delhivery Robotics Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the corporation, would be established with an authorized capital of Rs 5 crore.
Four key areas will be the emphasis of the company's strategy. Prioritizing research and development in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology will be the first step towards achieving type certification and commercialization. Various form factors and payload capabilities will be explored.
Second, the company will provide sophisticated logistical and data-gathering capabilities with drone-as-a-service (DaaS) solutions for freight movement and remote sensing.
Apart from providing these services, the business will set up an extensive program for training drone pilots. This will concentrate on providing people with the know-how and credentials required to operate drones in a secure and efficient manner.
Finally, it will concentrate on developing, manufacturing, and exporting drones worldwide. This will entail component acquisition, flight testing, and third-party manufacture.
