'Jal Gyan Yatra' organized by the Namami Gange Mission; over 100 school students participated

The purpose of the students' tour to the Bharwara sewage treatment plant was to broaden their academic understanding by giving them hands-on experience with the facility's operation. The Suez crew welcomed the students and informed them about the operation of the STP and the layout of the city's sewage system.
Over 100 school kids participated in the inaugural "Jal Gyan Yatra" that was sponsored by the Namami Gange Mission and the rural water supply department here on Thursday to increase awareness of the value of water conservation.
In addition, pupils in the state capital learned about the prime minister's ambitious initiatives including the Jal Jeevan Mission and Har Ghar Jal Yojana.
120 students from 11 different schools, including St. Joseph's College and Lucknow Public School, enthusiastically participated in the first Jal Gyan Yatra's educational tour of the Bharwara sewage treatment facility (STP). By giving the students firsthand knowledge of how a sewage treatment plant (STP) operates, the visit's goal was to broaden their academic understanding.
The employees of Suez, the company in charge of operating the sewage system in Lucknow, welcomed the children and their instructors and gave them a full explanation of how the STP operates. Additionally, the students spoke with the STP staff members and posed several queries about the sewage water treatment process.
The operation of STP, its organisational structure, and other details were explained to the pupils. The structure of the city's sewage system was also explained to the kids.
Ankita Patel, the project manager for finances, Dr Harpal Singh, Sumit Bhatnagar, the coordinator for capacity building and training, and other authorities were present during the educational visit.
Students from government primary council and private schools in Lucknow were shown in the first phase of the Jal Gyan Yatra how rural UP is transforming thanks to the efforts of the state government.
The department has made all necessary arrangements for the students' health, safety, and amenities. The health department's ambulance was dispatched right away, taking the weather into consideration.
