NewsNow, commuters may purchase Chennai Metro tickets using WhatsApp. On Wednesday, the new e-ticket was introduced in front of Chennai Metro Rail Limited MD E Siddique. Passengers can save 20% on tickets ordered using the texting app.
The CMRL WhatsApp number (+91 8300086000), which will be displayed at all of the city's metro stations, must receive a message. Soon, you'll be given the option of selecting Tamil or English as your chosen language. The next step is to select between purchasing tickets and looking for a local metro station. When you select the Book Your Ticket option, you will be prompted to select the stations for your starting point and ending point.
Up to six tickets may be ordered at once, and payment choices include UPI, online banking, credit/debit cards, and others. You will receive a QR ticket following a successful transaction.

Conditions for WhatsApp ticket:
1. The QR ticket is valid till the close of business. However, after boarding has been completed, passengers must depart the location within 120 minutes.
2. To depart at the source station, a passenger must do so within 20 minutes of entering.
3. Tickets cannot be booked after Business Hours.
4. In WhatsApp Ticketing, cancellation of tickets is not allowed.
