Wild Garden - The café at Amethyst

Amethyst opened its doors for the very first time at the century-old Sundar Mahal in Jeypore Colony, Gopalapuram, in 2000. Amethyst, Kiran Rao’s brainchild, was an effort in restoring the ancient haveli, filling it with antiques and art, even as her boutique and café flourished on the property.

The café Wild Garden is loved not just for its food but also for the setting. Visitors can choose their favourite spot - in the enclosed hall, along the sweeping verandah, or at any number of tables dotting the gardens at Amethyst. The menu selection has been carefully curated with ‘standards’ as well as regularly updated options or visitors could choose from the daily specials.
