NewsThe Green Protocol committee previously released recommendations that include things like using eco-friendly bags and containers to deliver food bundles from the food booths and having separate bins to store garbage that is divided into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories. The Keraleeyam festival, conducted by the State government, complies with the green standard. To guarantee the eco-friendliness of the week-long event spread across 42 locations, a committee has been established. To make sure the event follows the green procedure, a sizable volunteer team and the Haritha Karma Sena (green army) have been mobilised.
Guidelines for individuals employed by the Green Protocol committee were previously released for the trade show, food festival, and exhibits that are part of Keraleeyam. The event's hoardings, direction boards, and banners are constructed of jute and fabric, two eco-friendly materials. For all institutions and stall owners taking part in culinary festivals, sales, and exhibitions, registration is now required. Carriers and plastic bags are prohibited. Rather, it is advised to use cotton bags as often as possible.

The municipal corporation makes sure that all of the garbage that is produced every day is separated and sent to the waste management system. Each site has many locations set up for waste bins and bottle booths. Additionally, volunteers from the Green Army lead guests to Keraleeyam.
