This year’s edition of International Jazz Festival is bringing a line-up of artistes recognised for their mastery in jazz music

The International Jazz Festival (IJF), which debuted in 2011 at Mumbai's National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), has been going on for more than ten years. Ever since, the festival's scope has only increased. The artists on the lineup for this year's event are known for their proficiency in jazz composition.

Live concerts by pianist, composer, and musician Thilo Wolf and his Big Band (jazz orchestra) with vibraphonist Florian Bührich and singers Johanna Iser and Torsten Goods (who doubles as a jazz guitarist) are scheduled.

Jazz trumpeter-vocalist Benny Benack III and American pianist Emmet Cohen are also on the lineup.

On the last day of the festival, vocalist Jane Monheit will play alongside four other artists, after Cuban musician Alfredo Rodriguez weaves a tapestry of sounds.

Head of International Music Farrahnaz Irani states, "Jazz artists from various genres are featured in this edition of IJF." These performers have gained recognition on a global scale and are renowned for their exceptional performances.

The planners faced a challenging task in bringing together the jazz giants who were nominated for Grammys and Emmys. They focused on artists who shared their interests and style after first viewing artists from throughout the world.
