St. Vincent Pallotti College has its roots in the work of St. Vincent Pallotti, a Catholic priest who established the Society of the Catholic Apostolate (SAC), also known as the Pallottines, 180 years ago. Born on April 21, 1795, Pallotti's dedication to his apostolate led him to found orphanages, night schools, and technical institutions, which continue to exist today. He also demonstrated particular concern for prisoners, soldiers, and the sick, and served as the spiritual director of several Roman Colleges. The society he founded is present in over 50 countries worldwide. In India, the Pallottines are associated with several prominent institutions of higher education, including those in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Jharkhand, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
