St. Andrew's Church (The Kirk)

St. Andrew's Church, also called "The Kirk" (meaning "The Church" in Scottish) is one of the oldest in Chennai. This magnificent architectural wonder was constructed and consecrated in 1821, for the Scots in the British army at the time.

The majority of today's worshippers are Indian and multicultural. People from all around the world visit it. Every visitor describes the worship as "beautiful" in its form, in its spirit, and its truth. It is held in the Scottish Presbyterian Tradition.
