Packed with 29 workshops covering a variety of subjects, the three-day sixth edition of Mangaluru Lit Fest, 2024 will begin on Friday evening at the T.M.A. Pai Convention Hall on M.G. Road and run through January 21.
Attendees at the inaugural on Friday at 5 p.m. will include scholar and Sahitya Akademi award winner Lakshmisha Tolpadi, renowned Bharatanatyam artist Radhe Jaggi, Secretary of the Indian Institute of Social Science Research, Dhananjaya Singh, Principal Adviser in the Defence Ministry, Lt. Gen. Vinod G. Khandare, and Chancellor of Nitte (Deemed to be University), N. Vinay Hegde.
Following the inaugural, there will be cultural events with kids from Alva's Education Foundation, Moodbidri, and Ms. Jaggi doing a Bharatanatyam performance, according to Bharat Foundation Trustee Shreeraj Gudi and Sunil Kulkarni at a news conference held here on January 17. Vanita Seva Samaj, Dharwad has been chosen, according to the Trustees, to receive this year's "The Idea of Bharath" award. On Saturday starting at 6 p.m., renowned Carnatic vocalist Sandeep Narayan will perform.
