Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan (PSBB) is a group of schools that is located in Chennai. Educationalist Rajalakshmi Parthasarathy (1925–2019), Vanjulam Chari, and several other women from the Nungambakkam Ladies Recreation Club (NLRC) started the school.
A group of Nungambakkam Ladies Recreation Club housewives founded the PSBB School in Chennai in 1958. In a thatched hut on the terrace of the home of Mrs. Y. G. Parthasarathy, the director and dean of the school, were thirteen students. The great table tennis player Venugopal Chandrasekhar's family donated the property. The school didn't have many amenities at the time. With five branches, including PSBB Millennium, the school now has over 8,000 students and 500 employees.
The school was founded with the goal of giving kids an education that was more Indianized and would encourage a study of Sanskrit shlokas, music, dance, and Indian culture.
According to the EducationWorld - C Fore Survey 2011, the PSBB group of schools placed first in the South Zone and third overall in India for day schools in 2012–2013.
