ermahal, Lake palace on Rudrasagar is situated at Melaghar, Tripura. It is India’s only water palace. The palace was the dream castle of Maharaja Birbikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur, who quite obviously had king aesthetic sensibilities. Built in 1930, this floating castle took 9 years to be executed to his specifications of luxury and beauty, now it is one of the most important Tourist Centre in North East India.
