National Saras Mela at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, Kaloor, on December 21 to January 1

The National Saras Mela will be opened At the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kaloor on Thursday, by Local Self-Government Minister M.B. Rajesh. The Kudumbashree Mission is in charge of organising the Mela. The event will be attended by T.J. Vinod and Uma Thomas, MLAs, Industries Minister P. Rajeeve, Mayor M. Anilkumar, and Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan, according to a news release.

The country's rural goods are exhibited and sold during the Mela. It runs until January 1st and features goods from self-help organisations and women-owned businesses. The program includes seminars, meetings between national entrepreneurs, and cultural events, according to the organisers.

One of the main draws of the Mela is the Indian food court, which has 300 dishes prepared by 120 women entrepreneurs from all around the nation. The Central and State governments are working together to arrange the Mela. With the support of the Kudumbashree Mission, nine Saras Melas have been held thus far. In Kochi, this is the first Mela to be held.
