The website for Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), a new independent organisation for youth and youth-led development, is set to debut shortly, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also urged young Indians to register for various programmes through it. The Prime Minister said that the new national group will be inaugurated on October 31, the day of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth, during his monthly radio speech, Mann Ki Baat. Modi noted that October 31 was a unique day, citing Patel's role in uniting the princely states.
He said that the culmination of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav festivities commemorating 75 years of independence will take place on October 31 in Delhi's "Amrit Vatika," where soil from across the nation will be placed. He also paid tribute to the late Indira Gandhi, the Prime Minister, who was killed on October 31, 1984.
