Officially known as T. Anjaiah Lumbini Park, Lumbini Park is a 3-hectare public urban park in Hyderabad that is located next to Hussain Sagar. It draws a lot of tourists all year round because it's in the middle of the city and near to other tourist destinations like Necklace Road and Birla Mandir. One of the nicest attractions is boating, and visitors use the boats to visit the Buddha statue positioned in the centre of the Tank Band. The park was built in 1994 and bears the name T. Anjaiah, the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
