To honour Lord Mahavir's birth anniversary, Lachhuar Mahotsav is held in the Lachhuar village of Sikandra Block in Jamui District. Particularly noticeable at this celebration is the gathering of Jain devotees. Together, Tirthankar Mahavir Vidya Mandir Virayatan and the Jain Shwetambar Society make a substantial contribution to the special nature of this celebration. The state government works extremely hard each year to make the Lachhuar Mahotsav a success. The Lachhuar temple is decked with flowers and Lord Mahavir is worshipped on the fortunate Lachhuar Mahotsav day. Jainists do the Prabhat Pheri rite while holding a flag, and afterward, they give the youngsters in need of clothing.
