The Karnataka State Council for Child Welfare (KSCCW) in Bangalore is a registered non-profit organization committed to enhancing the lives of underprivileged children and women residing in impoverished urban and rural communities throughout Karnataka. Originally constituted in 1955 and registered as the Mysore State Council for Child Welfare in 1961, this autonomous non-profit entity adopted its current name in 1989-90. As the state branch of the Indian Council for Child Welfare, its operational scope extends across the entire state of Karnataka. The organization receives its funding from the Department of Women and Child Development, which falls under the Ministry of Human Resources.
