Diya Foundation in Bangalore is a vocational training center established in 1999. It focuses on preparing young adults with intellectual challenges for employment in India by equipping them with vital life and trade skills. Over the years, Diya has developed from a small sheltered workshop into a comprehensive training program with the aim of creating more inclusive and welcoming work environments for individuals with disabilities.
For the past 25 years, Diya Foundation has had a significant positive impact, reaching over 448 young adults with intellectual challenges. Each year, more than 60 young adults benefit from their comprehensive, person-centered training programs, which are designed to promote independence and workplace preparedness. Through collaborations with over 20 NGOs, 30 corporations, and engagement with more than 5000 stakeholders, Diya Foundation has played a pioneering role in fostering a more inclusive workplace where individuals with disabilities can succeed.
