The Delhi State Assembly enacted a law granting Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) university status and officially renaming it Delhi Technological University (DTU). This led to the establishment of Delhi School of Management (DSM) in August 2009.
DTU, originally known as Delhi College of Engineering, was run by the Indian government when it was founded as Delhi Polytechnic in 1941. In the area of research-oriented education, DTU has long been the centre of creativity, invention, and technological brilliance. The university has 12 academic departments and offers programmes leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. ), Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech), Master of Engineering (M.E. ), Master of Science (M.Sc.), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D. ), and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.).
