Chhattisgarh government organised a three-day Ramayana national cultural festival on Thursday

The Chhattisgarh government staged the first-ever three-day Ramayana national cultural festival on Thursday at the Ramleela Maidan in the Raigarh district.

Ramayana troupes from 12 states of the nation, including Kerala, Karnataka, Odisha, Assam, Goa, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, as well as those from Cambodia and Indonesia, will perform several devotional performances based on the Ramkatha at the National Ramayana Festival, which is being held in Chhattisgarh for the first time ever.

According to a press release, celebrated Hindi poet Kumar Vishwas will perform specially at "Apne-Apne Ram Music Night" on the festival's last day to laud the virtues of Lord Shri Ram. The event, according to the press release, is "widely appreciated not only in Chhattisgarh but also across the country" and is trending at the top on various social media sites.
