Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies

Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies was established in the year 1993, the year in which BHS HES was celebrating its Golden Jubilee. It was inaugurated by Shri. B.V.Acharya, the then Advocate General, Government of Karnataka, Dr. V.B.Coutinho, the then Dean and Principal of University 

Law College, Bangalore, presided over the function. Shri. G.Y.Subba Rao assumed office as the first Principal of the college. Subsequently, Prof. Anand Rao of the Department of English served as the acting Principal for a short term.
